I'm a contemporary realist oil painter. The natural world is my eternal inspiration. I try to express the beauty of nature, but with a reminder that the earth is precious, and in danger.
With over 25 years as a practising artist Laurel Foenander is a contemporary realist painter, working in oils. Many of her paintings are held in collections Australia – wide and over seas, particularly in the area
of Australian birds. She has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions She has won over 100 art show awards including :

Finalist selections in National Awards : The Norvill Landscape Prize 2012 Destination Daintree 2012 Arc Yinnar Drawing Prize 2012/14/16. In 2019 with a renewed focus on entering Art Prizes, her work “Survivor”
has been selected as a finalist in the upcoming Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize.
She is represented by Town and Country Gallery, Yarragon, South Yarra Art House Melb.. Hawthorn Studio Gallery Melb., and Mingara Gallery Cowes.
