  • Biography

I always paint from life and am lucky to have access to the working boats: the fishing boats, service boats, ferries and tugs of Sydney Harbour and nearby Port Stephens, becoming familiar with them in the process.

  • Influences

Recent years 2019, 2018 have taken me to Florence for printmaking workshops at ‘Il
Bisonte’. I graduated from NAS with a Fine Arts Degree in 2015, having established
PUNCH STREET STUDIO in 2014 as my permanent studio and
gallery space. In 2013 I undertook a course in gold leaf and egg tempera at Bottega d’Arte
in Siena. Early in 2011 I sketched “In the Footsteps of the Masters” in Rome with Michele
Hiscock and the AGNSW. My art tour in Umbria in 2009 with Neil Moore stimulated my
interest in portraiture. While in Florence in 2005 I studied gold leaf application with Italian
artist Roberto Ciabani. I am a member of WAC and have participated in its Life Drawing
    Group for 9 years.
