Fay Gelletly
Artist’s Statement
I have always liked drawing and now I have the time to draw and paint. I work in water colour, acrylic, oil and sometimes pastel. I like to vary my subject matter - even doing abstracts where you can let yourself go to express an inner feeling.
I have taken lessons from many established artists on the Mornington Peninsula where I reside, including water colour with Jean Cohen, oil with John Bredl and acrylic with Carole Foster.
I have sold paintings privately as far away as London and at local exhibitions.
Biography
As I am a widow, painting is a wonderful hobby for me. I love it. I work in water colour, acrylic, oil and sometimes pastel. I like to vary my subject matter - even doing abstracts where you can let yourself go to express an inner feeling.
Exhibitions
In 2015 I won the prize for best traditional subject at the Dromana Art Show.
