Debra Marshall
Artist’s Statement
I explore the human response to landscape and how we navigate the space around us. I hope to give the viewer an experience of moving through a landscape – I want them to be able to immerse themselves in the scene
Biography
Debra J. Marshall is an Australian-born artist living and working in Melbourne, with a Master of Fine Art from RMIT University. Debra’s drawing works explore the human response to landscape and how we navigate the space around us, predominantly using fine pigment ink pens and occasionally graphite and watercolour on cotton paper. She is also also inspired by the imagery and drawing techniques reflected in traditional etchings and prints, working mostly in black and white.
